The Ecommerce Platforms blog was founded by Catalin Zorzini, who also started another popular online magazine, Inspired Mag. This site too is home to plenty of great and practical content, but with a more technical focus. They feature articles that review and compare plugins, platforms, payment gateways and other eCommerce tools. Their comprehensive guide, in which they compare 10 major eCommerce platforms according to 9 distinct criteria is a must-read for every eCommerce entrepreneur.
The popular website analytics platform, KissMetrics, also happen to host one of the finest online marketing and e-commerce blogs out there. As you would expect from such a platform, the blog features mainly analytic content, ranging from how to perform A/B tests to email marketing, PPC best practices, SEO, and more. They provide their readers with truly top-notch, meticulously edited, and sometimes even witty content (check out this article, that explains the current state of SEO through Game of Thrones metaphors).
Conversion XL (as you probably guessed from its name) is a blog that features content specifically focused on conversion optimization and related practices and technologies. A large part of the articles are, of course, analytically focused (like this one about mobile app analytics). However, due the interdisciplinary nature of the field, they often feature posts that look at the problem from different, interesting angles, such as that of the emerging field of neuromarketing. Shopify’s blog is a no-brainer for anyone who is involved or simply interested in eCommerce or online marketing in general. On top of the excellent, practically aimed articles, they also feature great, inspiring, and thought-provoking pieces, like this one about how the CEO of the social media management app, Hootsuite turned his back pain into business (podcast format).
